As the Recruiter, you will be responsible for leading the full life-cycle recruiting, including developing recruiting strategies, posting job advertisements, screening/interviewing candidates, and more. The successful incumbent will work with a sense of purpose and urgency to attract and hire the highest caliber of talent.


This is a full-time opportunity with the salary range of $50,000 - $60,000. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation days, personal days and holidays, life insurance, and a hybrid pension.


Incumbent may be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Leads the full recruitment cycle for regular and temporary employees including; posting vacancies on internal and external job posting boards, screening, maintaining interview schedule, developing ads and screening questions, and conducting phone screens and in person
  • Leads hiring managers and Human Resources Service Partner (HRSP) in strategically creating requisitions, and hiring plans.
  • Leads recruitment advertising process by creating position ads and posts on internal and external
  • Researches effective recruiting advertising methods and collaborates with management and HRSPs to find additional resources to post
  • Advises HRSP and Compensation/HRIS Supervisor on potential struggles with filling the position and any needed changes to the job description or pay based on the results of the posting
  • Works with external customers to participate in job fairs and network with various associations and
  • Creates and distributes employment-related correspondence; e.g., pre- employment/hiring forms, offer letters, and interview regret
  • Initiates background investigations; authorizes/approves relevant drug screening and pre- employment physicals, credit checks, education verifications and driving records
  • Analyzes recruitment process performance and recommends improvements to the current
  • Maintains the integrity of the recruitment process and is responsible for the implementation of recruitment process improvements for the City of AnnĀ 

Training and Experience


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
  • Recruitment (full cycle recruiting) experience at least 3 years
  • Experience with HRIS at least 1 year


  • Experience with applicant tracking, recruitment metrics, interview and selection, sourcing/job board management, and job fair/career events
