There is a possibility that this position may be renewed on an annual basis depending on the organization needs, funding and employee performance, in accordance with the City temporary worker's policy.


Starting Hourly Rate: $13.13 

Nature of Work: Administers summer day camp programs for the City of Ann Arbor. Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the camp and for assuring the care, safety and protection of campers. Instruction and leadership in day camp including the planning, organization, implementation and teaching of the day camp program. Reports to the facility supervisor. May exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Required Qualifications: Minimum 21 years of age. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and implement a day camp program. Considerable knowledge in instructional methods and behavior management of children and experience working with children in a recreational setting. CPR/AED and First Aid certification required by start of employment. Please note your certification must be from an organization that has been approved by the Bureau of Community and Health Systems, Child Care Licensing Division. Desirable Qualifications: Minimum of 8 weeks of full-time experience working with children and a minimum of 4 weeks of full-time administrative experience in an organized camp or related program.
