This is a temporary position, which will be limited to 6 consecutive months.    

There is a possibility that this position may be renewed on an annual basis depending on the organization needs, funding and employee performance, in accordance with the City temporary worker's policy.


PARK SPACE COORDINATOR Starting Hourly Rate: $11.22

Nature of Work: Responsible for reviewing and monitoring parks, athletic field reservation, park space and pavilion rentals and special events within Parks & Recreations services.  Monitor park spaces, including the river parks between Argo and Gallup liveries, to ensure compliance with Park Rules & Regulations, and applicable City Codes, while maintaining a friendly, pleasant, outgoing personality.  Works closely with the Recreation Supervisor, other parks support staff and city departments.  Reports to and submits daily work reports to the Recreation Supervisor.  Distributes Parks & Recreation Rules and Regulations information to the public.  Assists in the maintenance and physical improvements of park shelters and spaces, which may include, but are not limited to; trash/recycle disposal from parks, restroom cleaning and restocking, managing parking and other duties as assigned.  May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 21 years of age.  Strong customer service, conflict management and communication skills. Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends. CPR/AED and First Aid certification required by start of employment.
