There is a possibility that this position may be renewed on an annual basis depending on the organization needs, funding and employee performance, in accordance with the City temporary worker's policy.

 

ASSISTANT FACILITY SUPERVISOR II
Starting Hourly Rate: $16.13

 

Nature of Work: Assists the facility supervisor in the administration, management, and operation of recreation facilities. Directly responsible for the overall operation of the facility in the facility supervisor's absence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, making cash-outs, handling deposits, inventory control, answering citizen complaints, supervision of employees, and implementations of policies and procedures. In addition, the position directs and is responsible for major facility programs. This position shares the responsibility of the physical facility with the facility supervisor. This position handles work that extends beyond the scope of the actual facility such as work with vendors, budget oversight, billing, and project administration. May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Required Qualifications: Past experience in recreation facility management. Past supervisory experience. Experience with cash handling, staff management, and policy and procedure implementation. CPR/AED and First Aid certification required by start of employment. Desirable Qualifications: Background and/or training which relates specifically to the facility operation.

Work Schedule: Because of the nature of recreation facility operations, weekend and evening hours are a necessary part of the work schedule.
