IMPORTANT POSITION INFORMATION

 

There is a possibility that this position may be renewed on an annual basis depending on the organization needs, funding and employee performance, in accordance with the City temporary worker's policy.

 

FACILITY ATTENDANT
Starting Hourly Rate: $9.25

Nature of Work:  Assist with the maintenance of a recreational facility.  Duties include, but are not limited to, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, restroom cleaning, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, floor care, trash/garbage disposal and minor repairs. May exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. 

Required Qualifications:  Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Ability to perform moderately heavy manual labor.  Ability to use tools for minor repairs.  Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.  CPR/AED and First Aid certification required by start of employment. Please note your certification must be from an organization that has been approved by the Bureau of Community and Health Systems, Child Care Licensing Division. Desirable Qualifications:  Custodial training or experience. 

Work Schedule:  Mostly afternoons or evenings and weekends.
