There is a possibility that this position may be renewed on an annual basis depending on the organization needs, funding and employee performance, in accordance with the City temporary worker's policy.


Starting Hourly Rate: $10.39

Nature of Work:   Duties will include leading volunteers and providing event support for GIVE 365 events and outreach projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: gathering of supplies, event set up and clean up, leading and instructing volunteers, and implementation of volunteer policies and procedures. Working under GIVE 365 Volunteer and Outreach staff to effectively utilize volunteer energy and assistance in a variety of tasks that we do, such as park/river clean ups,  park maintenance, landscaping, special events and programming. May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 16 years of age. CPR/AED and First Aid certification required by start of employment. Please note your certification must be from an organization that has been approved by the Bureau of Community and Health Systems, Child Care Licensing Division. Desirable Qualifications: Good interpersonal skills, suitable for working with volunteers and the public at large. Comfort in leading groups, providing instruction and an ability to energize and relate to volunteers.

Work Schedule:  The work schedule will be varied and based on scheduled events and scheduled volunteer outings that can occur on any day of the week. Expected average hourly workweek would be between 5-10 hours.
